Getting your shanty onto the ice

Portability should be a primary concern when selecting an ice fishing shelter.  Cargo space in your vehicle will determine how large of a shanty you should purchase.  ATV and snowmobile owners should consider a model that is specifically design for use with a trailer hitch.  Backpack designs offer the most mobility.  Sled designs are the most popular for their small footprint and ease of dragging along the ice.
